Havaianas participated in the itinerant action "Noches Palacio", by the renowned Mexican department store Palacio de Hierro, whose event in 2012 had Brazil as its theme.
On weekends, from October 27 to December 9, the action traveled around the 11 stores in major Mexican cities, providing fans with the chance to customize their flip-flops with several pins.
The store chain also promoted samba and bossa nova concerts, capoeira acts, and set up thematic stands about Brazilian football, drums, photo exhibits and typical dance classes, attracting the attention of opinion formers and the media.
Artisans in the towns of Apiaí, Itaoca, and Barra do Chapéu, São Paulo upstate, learned how to build and use gas and clay ovens. This was part of project "The Future in Our Hands", by Ideal Future program. Together, local ceramists made three clay ovens and three gas ovens to burn ceramic parts. In January, the fourth clay oven will be built. The project is carried out by Camargo Corrêa Institute, InterCement, BNDES, and Instituto Meio.
Tavex, the largest producer of distinctive denim, launched in advance today its new summer collection in São Paulo. For the first time, the company launches three collections in the same year (January, June, December).

On November 27, CPFL Energia inaugurated the Tanquinho Plant, the first solar power project in the state of São Paulo and the largest in the country. Located in an area with 13,700 sq.m. at Subestação Tanquinho, one of CPFL's distributors, in Campinas (SP), Tanquinho Plant will generate around 1.6 GWh/year– enough to supply 657 clients a month with average consumption of 200 KWh/month. The inauguration of the project marked the celebrations of the company's 100th anniversary.
The seedling greenhouse of Santa Luzia Settlement, in the city of Tapurah (MT), is supported by the Entrepreneurship Time project by Camargo Corrêa Institute. The greenhouse expects to crop 80 thousand seedlings of several trees from October in this year to February 2013 – a growth of almost three times. Last year, 30 thousand seedlings were cropped in the same period.

Estaleiro Atlântico Sul (EAS), in Suape, Pernambuco state, made today – November 23 – the flotation (launching) of the Suezmax oil tanker "Zumbi dos Palmares". This is one of the most important building stages of the ship. The ship has 100% of its structure ready and 80% of the finish completed. All 237 equipment parts are in their final position.
