The third Época Negócios 360º Yearbook took place last night in the São Paulo State capital and awarded three Camargo Corrêa Group* companies.
Construtora Camargo Corrêa was elected the best company in the Civil Construction category by the publication which is conducted by the magazine, Época Negócios in conjunction with the Fundação Dom Cabral.
The Época Negócios 360º Yearbook selected the winners in 26 economic sectors taking financial performance, good human resource practices and corporate governance into consideration as well as innovation, future outlook and social and environmental responsibility. The best companies in each one of these classifications were also awarded as well as the company of the year. In the Best Practices ranking, Construtora Camargo Corrêa took 12th place among the 1,000 companies assessed by the publication.
The Camargo Corrêa Group for the sixth consecutive year brought thousands of professionals, families and partners together in a huge volunteer event. Dia do Bem-Fazer 2014 (Good Deed Day 2014) was held on the next to the last Sunday in August, the 24th, simultaneously in 70 cities in Brazil and 15 other countries. There were approximately 250 actions involving the participation of over 20,000 volunteers. All the actions on the Dia do Bem-Fazer (Good Deed Day) are planned months in advance. Professionals are encouraged to organize in groups to evaluate the demands of the community, possible institutions or communities benefited and the opportunities for partnerships. The methodology and systematization are conducted by the Camargo Corrêa Institute.
Activities performed by the volunteers are widely announced and are aimed at different publics – from children to the elderly, handicapped persons, hospital patients and many other people and demands. Renovations of schools, health outposts, parks, squares and other public equipment, offers of leisure, cultural and sports opportunities, community training and integration activities are just some of the types of activities undertaken.
InterCement is the third most internationalized company among Brazilian multinationals, according to rankings released by the Fundação Cabral.
The 2014 edition of the FDC Ranking of Brazilian Multinationals analyzed the degree of internationalization of 52 major companies from Brazil. The study included only companies that have a physical presence abroad, such as sales offices, distribution centers, factories, provision of services, research centers, etc.
In the sixth edition of the Doing Good Day, the municipalities of Pedro Leopoldo, Santana do Paraíso, and Montes Claros, located in Minas Gerais, and Cubatão, on the coast of São Paulo, will feature actions at schools, kindergartens, healthcare centers, plus a "street of services." The event, to be held Sunday, August 24, will also receive fun and educational activities to celebrate the day with the children and the community.
Pedro Leopoldo will receive most of the activities. Volunteers from InterCement will carry out general electrical, masonry, and plumbing renovations, and exterior painting at five schools, two municipal child care centers, and healthcare units, including a Center of Medical Specialties and a Women's Health Clinic.

Employees from the job of Extending Avenida João Paulo II (led by the Camargo Corrêa Construction Company) as well as their family members and friends, are renovating the library of the Escola Estadual do Ensino Fundamental Presidente Tancredo de Almeida Neves ("Presidente Tancredo de Almeida Neves" State Elementary School), which will benefit about 300 students in Ananindeua, state of Pará. The library will receive new equipment such as bookshelves, tables and chairs, as well as book donations. The exterior of the building will also receive a new paint job. And on Sunday, August 24, there will be a kite workshop offered by the Celpa Network, plus a photography workshop. A folkloric group will also put on a cultural presentation to celebrate the date and improvements to the building.
The sixth edition of the "Doing Good Day" in Paraíba, a volunteer corporate event that gathers all of the companies of the Camargo Corrêa Group, will feature more than 15 activities on August 24th. The actions have been defined in recent months in partnership with the communities served by Alpargatas Institute and at meetings of the Community Development Committee (CDC) of Ilha do Bispo.
Alpargatas decided to carry out a campaign for structural renovation at seven municipal schools. The actions will take place in the cities of Alagoa Nova, Campina Grande, Guarabira, Ingá, Mogeiro, Santa Rita, and Serra Redonda. The Associação de Formação e Incentivo para o Nordeste Karente (Afink) in Araruna, and the Associação Pestalozzi in João Pessoa, will also be part of the actions of the Doing Good Day, with activities including recreation, social assistance and healthcare.

Employee volunteers from InterCement, theirs family members and friends will carry out structural renovations and improve conditions of safety and health at the Escola Municipal José Clarindo Gomes (José Clarindo Gomes Municipal School). The Lar da Criança Charnequinha, Creche Charnequinha and Pontes dos Carvalhos Maternity Hospital will also receive renovation services. The multi-sport court of the Escola Conde da Boa Vista (Conde da Boa Vista School) will be renovated and will get a new paint job, plus the bathrooms of the central building will be refurbished.

Employee volunteer from InterCement, plus family members and friends, chose to carry out structural reforms at three institutions in Brumado, directly benefiting 800 children and youths. In fact, the activities have been under way since July. The high point will be on Sunday, when the improvements will be unveiled to the entities, featuring celebrations with entertaining and educational activities with the children.

The team from the Tavex factory, along with their family members and friends, will carry out structural renovations and revive the garden, as well as overhaul and assemble the playground of "Associação Americanense de Acolhimento." The entity has been present in Americana for 27 years as a foster home for children aged 0 to 18 years in situations of social vulnerability. Currently, 30 children are cared for, by court order.

These improvements will benefit the entire community. The work will be carried out at the Escola Municipal Desembargador José Fernando Lima Souza; Casa Shalon (treatment center for drug addicts); Posto de Saúde Dona Floraci Soares dos Santos; and 'Santa Casa de Misericórdia de São Miguel dos Campos' healthcare facility.
