Tomorrow, July 13th, the construction company Camargo Corrêa, in partnership with Sustainable Energy of Brazil (ESBR), Camargo Corrêa Institute and the Minucipality of Porto Velho, will deliver 28 mobile libraries, with 5,500 books in ten municipal schools in the region, where the company builds the Jirau Hydropower Plant Project. That makes part of the project Ler, Prazer e Saber (Read, Pleasure and Learning) and the action aims to provide students access to relevant titles of children's literature and stimulate your taste for reading.

With a mobile format and with wheels, the libraries can be transported to all the classrooms of schools and contains classics from Brazilian Children's and Juvenile Literature, as well as works of international literature.

"The libraries try to provide for the kids a delightful contact with different kinds of texts, forming readers and expanding their knowledge and creativity", says Francisco Azevedo, CEO of Camargo Corrêa Institute.

The initiative is part of program Escola Ideal, articulated by Camargo Corrêa Institute in the regions where the companies belonging to Camargo Corrêa Group are present. The program seeks to contribute to improving the quality of teaching in public and elementary schools.
