Camargo Corrêa Group mobilizes 15 thousand people in voluntary actions in 2012, all of them through Ideal Volunteer Program, from Camargo Corrêa Institute. This number is divided between Group professionals, educators, health professionals and communities in Brazil and Argentina. These efforts put Brazil among the ten countries with the largest number of volunteers: about 18 million, as ranked by the British organization Charities Aid Foundation – CAF, in the report "World Giving Index 2012 – A global view of giving trends".

The survey also says that some 65 million Brazilians helped a stranger in the last month, and 35 million financially support to social causes on a regular basis. Even so, the country only ranks 83rd on the ranking of the most generous in donations (led by Australia).

The survey provides a comprehensive picture of donations based on data collected in 146 countries, through 155 thousand interviews, and reveals several trends in philanthropy. The study indicates that although behaviors vary among age groups, the numbers suggest that, overall, young people seem less empathic. It also says that, out of the world's total respondents, 44% helped a stranger; most donors are women; and the population 50 years of age makes up the largest contributor group.
