Camargo Corrêa Group’s professionals dedicated 350 hours to volunteer workFriday, January 18, 2013 - 17:34
The Ideal Volunteer Action Groups (GAIVs), trained by companies of Camargo Corrêa Group, accrued over 350 hours of volunteer work in six months. The figure was announced through the Ideal Volunteer Program, by Camargo Corrêa Institute, at an event to recognize the groups' work, conducted in late December.
In 2012, distinctions went to the Ijaci Administrative GAIV (formed by InterCement's employees in Ijaci, MG); Jacareí GAIV (also InterCement's employees in Jacareí city), and Solidarity Action GAIV (Alpargatas Plant in Ingé, PB). "It's a way to encourage corporate volunteering as a permanent practice among employees of Camargo Corrêa Group", says the coordinator of Ideal Volunteer program, Flávio Seixas.
The GAIVs are in charge of planning and executing voluntary action in their respective localities.
