Work site receives ecological board fencesThursday, February 14, 2013 - 12:33
The Laguna Bridge Consortium, led by Construtora Camargo Corrêa, has just finished installing ecological board fences for the whole area of its work site in Laguna city, Santa Catarina state. Replacing the traditional wood board fences, the company installed parts made from plastics and recycled aluminum-based materials (internal coating of milk cartons).
In addition to their better appearance, the ecological board fences also improve the acoustic comfort and are more resistant to climate variations. They are also waterproof and resistant to deformation. Another benefit is their price, which can be as lower as 20% compared to conventional board fences.
The manufacturing of each board fence part involves the use of about three thousand plastic bags and recycled packages.
