Every fifteen days, for two hours, the pregnant women working at the Jirau site receive information and solve doubts related to pregnancy. "The project started when we realized it was vital to offer personal and professional well-being to mothers-to-be and their babies, since many of them had to move 100 kilometers from Jaci-Paraná to Porto Velho to receive this kind of attention", explains Cristiane Tessaro, Human Resources and Social Responsibility manager. The result of the project is the valuation of the health of mother and baby, offering personal and professional well-being, from the actions conducted at the worksite itself.
In all, 20 professionals who participated in the program have already had their babies. Currently, 17 pregnant women receive guidance on nutrition, care with the newborn, maternity leave, giving birth, the importance of the periodic prenatal care and exercises, among other related topics. "When they are about to give birth, we give them a maternity kit", Cristiane says.
