The Apprentice Generation program is a partnership between Construtora Camargo Corrêa and Senai; At the construction site of Jirau Hydroelectric Plant, it offers the opportunity for personal and professional training for young people who live in the project's surroundings. Courses are offered to train Diesel Engine Maintenance Mechanics and Production Assistants. Six teams have already gone through the program, which began in 2009.

At the Production Assistant course, the content is split between practice and theory. The practice part is taught at the administrative sectors of the company, and theory classes are led by Senai from Rondônia at the Training Center of the work site. One of the program's advantages is the possibility of being hired after the training.

According to the Training and Development supervisor Nadia Pozzebon, "this is another program for Social Responsibility of the company, which provides professional development and prepares young people for the labor market".

Lucas Adelino de Oliveira is 19 years old and attended the Production Assistant course in 2011. After that, he was hired as a clerk at the Supplies sector of the work site. "Today I am a professional trained to work in any administrative area, because along with theory we had practice lessons that allowed us to know the dynamics of the various sectors in the company", says Lucas.
