For the third year in a row, CPFL Energia is a sponsor of Frontiers of Thought, an international seminar proposing a discussion between different areas of culture and knowledge, with conferences in São Paulo and Porto Alegre. This season, the CPFL Cultura, which until then promoted special meetings in São Paulo, expands its operations to Porto Alegre.

The program includes the participation of Peruvian writer Mario Vargas Llosa (Nobel Prize for Literature), who opens the 3rd edition in São Paulo, on April 17, at Teatro do Complexo Ohtake Cultural.

Frontiers of Thought is a multiple cultural project focusing freedom of intellectual speech and quality of education as tools for development. With an annual series of conferences, it opens room for debate and analysis of contemporary and future perspectives, presenting thinkers, scientists, and leaders that are at the forefront of their fields of research and thought.

In its seven years of existence, the Frontiers of Thought held over 100 conferences to thousands of viewers. According to its curator, Fernando Schüler, the seminar "aims to bring to debate essential topics, giving viewers a real view of the next 10 or 20 years in several areas covered".
