CPFL wins “Melhores e Maiores” award, by Exame magazine

CPFL Brazil is responsible for the sale and distribution of energy from CPFL Energia. It was the winner of the 40th "Melhores e Maiores award", from Exame magazine, run by Abril publishing house. The award refers to the Energy category. The commercial branch of CPFL Energia group was also acknowledged by the same publication in 2010 and 2011.

For the 2013 edition, one thousand Brazilian companies competed, and the Award recognized the largest investors and the best results in every sector of the Brazilian economy. Wilson Ferreira Jr., CEO of CPFL Energia Group, and Marco Antônio Oliveira de Siqueira, CEO of CPFL Brasil, received the award during the ceremony held on the evening of July 1, at Sala São Paulo, in São Paulo city.

In 2012 the company adopted a new sales strategy, and this strengthened its commercial structure and "allowed a significant expansion in energy sales to end consumers, keeping CPFL Brasil on the leadership of Brazilian market", says Marco Antônio Siqueira, CEO of CPFL Brasil.

The energy trader expanded its market through a regional presence. In addition to the headquarters in Campinas, CPFL Brasil has offices in Caxias do Sul/RS, Rio de Janeiro/RJ, and Recife/PE.

Today, CPFL Brasil is the largest energy distributor in the country, with an average sales volume of 1,775 MW last year, or about 10% of total energy sales by traders in 2012.
