Recently hired by Construtora Camargo Corrêa, at Jirau, Valdeni Pinheiro Alves, from Amazonas state, broke the Brazilian record of fastest bicycle travel for all Brazilian capitals. Overall, the travel took 232 days. The previous record was 345 days.
Valdeni, a 34-year-old service assistant of the Topography sector, has a lot to tell about a once-in-a-lifetime experience. His story began as a cyclist when he toured some Brazilian capitals because of a promise he made with the purpose of changing his life.
Currently, Valdeni Pinheiro is satisfied with the role he holds at Jirau Hydroelectric Plant. The employee says his work is an additional incentive for his next goal. "After breaking the bicycle record, I started working at Camargo Corrêa. Today I'm happy about my deed and my job. This drives me forward, and I feel my mission is yet to come. It's good to work for a company that encourages our achievements, both professional and personal ones", he emphasizes.
