Until February 3 Havaianas hosts beach paddle ball contests on the Argentine coast: the Havaletas Tour. The tournament’s name was coined by mixing the words Havaianas and pelota paleta (beach paddle ball in Spanish). For the tournament the company also prepared a kit with two rackets in the shape of flip-flops, as well as a bag, and a ball.
The program will travel the country’s beaches, bringing the audience closer to the flip-flops. The game winners will get gift coupons to the "Havaletas" kit and a pair of the flip-flops most wanted in the summer.
Also, consumers who purchase two pairs of Havaianas at an accredited shop can, for an additional price of 40 Argentine pesos, get a "Havaletas" kit and help the Garrahan Institute, which supports children with cancer.
