InterCement's factory in Apiaí, São Paulo state, received late in June the 1st Workshop on Social Responsibility. The event lasted for three days and aimed to present the achievements and progress of all social projects developed by the company in the region.

On the first day, the group of Ideal Childhood Program showed the results of trainings of employees of municipal daycare centers as well as infrastructure interventions in these locations. On the same day, the results of project "Ciranda Network" were presented. The project made a great progress with the creation of AMI (Mother and Child Clinic), where pregnant women and early infants exposed to risks receive medical attention.

On the second day, it was the turn of Ideal School program to present their projects developed at the municipal education networks of Apiaí and Itaoca, and at Cecília Meireles School. The evolution and transformation promoted by the initiative were evident in photos that showed "before and after" each school received the improvements. After that, projects "Ler": Leisure and Wisdom, Inclusive Education, Local Memory, Mathema, School Newspaper, and Free Studies Group were also presented.

The event was closed with a presentation by the Ideal Future Program, which brought testimonials from farmers and artisans from Apiaí, Itaoca and Barra do Chapéu. Lastly, this evidenced the evolution and growth of the project, which received new members and provided increased income per capita for participants.
