During the month of April, the InterCement plant in Ijaci (MG) welcomed around 250 children from public schools from Lavras and Ijaci itself to take part in activities of the company's Environmental Education program.

The little guests visited the InterCement plant and saw the production of cement, and also planted seeds and watched lectures on environmental issues.

For environmental analyst Fabiana Peniche, this type of initiative is important to ensure a better future to all. "Through the methodologies adopted, we intend to develop and plant a new seed in the little ones: that the world can develop in a sustainable way", she said.

Camargo Corrêa Group's cement businesses are gathered under the InterCement holding, which is a benchmark in the production of cement, concrete and aggregates in Brazil, Argentina, Portugal and Africa. After the acquisition of controlling stakes of Cimpor, from Portugal, InterCement appears among the 10 largest in the world ranking of cement sales, with 39 plants in 9 countries and nearly 10 thousand employees.
