Investment of R$ 75 thousand from CPFL Piratininga benefits educational foundation

CPFL Piratininga, a company of CPFL Energia, invested R$ 75 thousand to replace the lighting pattern of Fundação Indaiatubana de Educação e Cultura (FIEC), in Indaiatuba city, São Paulo upstate. The building was provided with 706 new light fixtures, and 1,335 lamps were changed for more efficient models. These will help the institution save about 53 MWh per year in electricity bills. The investment is the result of the Energy Efficiency program, by CPFL.

Rogério Moura, Business Manager at CPFL Piratininga, highlights the importance of this project for society. "We are very happy with the project's results, because this is an important and recognized institution providing a solid qualification for the city's youth".

CPFL Piratininga's Energy Efficiency program was approved by the National Agency of Electric Energy (Aneel). It aims to promote the rational use of electric power and the avoidance of waste, contributing to society's increased reflection about the issue while also working on the economic, social and environmental development in areas where the company operates.

Camargo Corrêa Group is a major shareholder among the controlling partners of CPFL Energia.
