MEC and InterCement host Workshop for Training Mobilizers in Brumado

InterCement organized a Workshop for Training Social Mobilizers for Education in the city of Brumado, Bahia state. Held in cooperation with the Department of Education (MEC), the training activity guided volunteers to promote activities to encourage interaction among families, schools, and communities in the municipality.

In addition to employees from InterCement, the event was also attended by representatives of the Guardian and Council Schools, the Municipal Education and Social Development secretaries, as well as religious and community leaders and school managers.

Patricia Maria is the Pedagogical Coordinator of the Municipal Secretariat of Education of Brumado city. She emphasized that education is a commitment of everyone: school, family, society, and the partnership with InterCement to strengthen the actions undertaken by the secretariat, in search of high-quality education. The manager of InterCement in Brumado, Chander Lima, reported that “the event was a milestone” and that this is a new way “to participate in local social mobilization”.

Held on May 20 and 21 at UAB – Open University of Brazil – the workshop was given by Luiza Catarina de Souza Carvalhal, from the team of the Plan of Mobilization for Education (PMSE/MEC).
