The unit of InterCement, a holding company for the cement business of Camargo Corrêa Group in Ijaci, received 30 students from Limeira Campus of UNESP (Universidade Estadual Paulista), in São Paulo state, in May.

The action took place within the “ConheCimento” Program, whose purpose is to provide supplementation to theoretical and practical subjects for students taking undergraduate courses in Civil Engineering.

During the meeting, students attended a presentation on healthcare, safety, environment, and cement, detailing manufacturing processes, types, technical standards on specifications and usage. They also made a technical visit to the factory, going through all Cement production steps.

“I want to thank you for the responsiveness to our students, and would also like to note that we are sure that the information passed by InterCement will be of great importance for every one of them”, said Giusepina D'Amico Lopes, coordinator of the Civil Engineering undergraduate course at Limeira Campus of UNESP.
