During the carnival days, employees of Construtora Camargo Corrêa conducted awareness actions against sexual exploitation of children and adolescents at the construction site of Jirau Hydroelectric Plant in Porto Velho, Rondônia.

This is the first edition of Bloco Disque 100 – No sexual exploitation of children and adolescents. "This action is part of program Great Works for Childhood, by Construtora Camargo Corrêa, in cooperation with Camargo Corrêa Institute (ICC). The purpose is prompting professionals who work at the plant to report any action of sexual exploitation and abuse against children and adolescents, through Disque 100", explains Cristiane Tessaro, HR supervisor at Construtora Camargo Corrêa in Jirau.

During two days before the carnival, an intervention was held at the worksite's entrance, with the delivery of leaflets reinforcing the importance children and adolescents' rights and of the report number.

Employees who participated in such intervention wore costumes and made things lighter, and a similar action was held at the local bus station. "It's very important to preserve the rights of children. I'm glad to know that Camargo Corrêa does this type of activity to protect minors", says Raimundo Nonato dos Santos, 34, a mason at Construtora Camargo Corrêa.
