A whole week dedicated to making the right to survival and development for children up to 6 years of age a priority in the agenda of Brazilian municipalities. This is the purpose of the Baby Week, promoted from November 4 to 10, in four Brazilian states.

The initiative, which as from this year starts to integrate the permanent actions of the Ideal Childhood Program of Camargo Corrêa Institute, aims at articulating governments, civil society and private initiative for the conduction of activities turned to early childhood in the São Paulo municipalities of Apiaí, Itaoca, Jacareí and Cubatão, in Minas Gerais municipalities of Ijaci, Pedro Leopoldo, Santana do Paraíso, and also in Cabo de Santo Agostinho, in Pernambuco and Fortaleza, in Ceará.

The central theme of the 2013 edition will be "All together for early childhood". With the purpose of raising the awareness of as many people as possible, activities will be conducted in public and private equipment, with workshops for pregnant women, parents, children and teenagers; seminars and lectures for health, education and social assistance professionals; breastfeeding activities; movie sessions with debate; baby walks, among others.
