A group of engineers from the InterCement unit in Pedro Leopoldo, MG, promoted structural improvements to the Municipal School Pedro Leopoldo. The initiative is a part of the Ideal School program, by Camargo Correa Institute (ICC), and was carried out on October 27.
The action gathered 79 volunteers, among InterCement professionals, partner companies, and the communities. Several rooms were painted, and the internal gutter of the school was reformed. The goal was to improve the work and study conditions for the 240 students aged 3 to 6, and the 28 employees who use the facilities.
Organized early in 2011, the Group of Volunteer Friends of Engineering (GAVE) directly gathers 10 professionals of the Pedro Leopoldo unit, and is already planning its next activity, always aiming at improving charity institutions and schools
