Volunteers will carry out over 140 actions

Doing Good Day 2012 must exceed the number of 150 voluntary actions. By the end of July, 141 actions had been registered by the 120 Ideal Volunteer Action Groups (GAIV) , formed by professionals of Camargo Corrêa Group and also other companies. Some volunteers are still waiting confirmation about details of activities to make the registers. This year, the actions will be held on August 26th in 100 Brazilian cities and in other countries as well.

Conceived to integrate the celebrations of 70th anniversary of Carmargo Corrêa Group, the initiative reaches its fourth edition, consolidating itself as an annual event that inspires citizenship. The purpose of Doing Good Day is to encourage and support professionals in performing voluntary actions to assist communities where they operate, as well as promoting and disseminating the culture of volunteering. Participate of Doing Good Day companies like Alpargatas, Camargo Corrêa Real Estate Development (CCDI), Camargo Corrêa S.A., InterCement, Shared Solutions Center (CSC), Fazenda Arrossensal (Arrossensal Farm), HM Engineering, Camargo Corrêa Builder Company, Malta Vigilância e Segurança (Malta Surveillance and Security), Morro Vermelho Air Taxi, Participações Morro Vermelho (Morro Vermelho Equity), Tavex Corporation, CCR Via Oeste, CPFL Energy, Estaleiro Atlântico Sul (South Atlantic Shipyard), and SAO Parking.

"In this fourth edition, we want to emphasize the role of volunteers of the participating companies in Doing Good Day", says the coordinator of Ideal Volunteer program, of CCI, Flávio Seixas. He points out that planning and preparing activities take about four months and also emphasizes the professionals' dedication to perform more than one hundred actions.

"This edition still marks a big change in the global concept of the event when we decided to invite clients, suppliers and companies in the market to adopt the initiative and participate of Doing Good Day, motivating the companies' volunteering in locations where they are present", says Seixas. The companies invited were General Eletric, Promon Engineering, Makro Engineering, AngloAmerican, Baesa, Maesa, and Consórcio Machadinho (Machadinho Consortium).
