The technology is not used on a large scale in Brazil. The Duracam technology was developed on the basis of the already renowned fabric Durapro, produced using high tensile strength polyamide 6.6, very resistant to scrapes and tears, CORDURA®, which is the registered trademark of INVISTA™.

Another innovative product is geared toward combat pilots. The launch of Vulcan X3, the fabric which contains fiber inherent to aramid providing protection against heat risk arising from sudden fire and is the first flame retardant fabric containing meta aramid produced in Brazil. Protection is guaranteed throughout the useful life of the garment, differing from other technologies where the finishing could wear off with each successive washing.

Another line of high technology finishing is Tech+, which offers water repellant solutions preventing absorption of oil and by-products is also a mosquito resistant. The visitor to the Santista stand will be able to participate in hands on experiences which show how the fabric works in practice.

Santista has prepared a special project to entertain the public at the LAAD. Every day of the fair a group of five men dressed in battle gear and bearing arms will mingle with the crowds at the Riocentro simulating an effort to seek out the enemy. Another attraction is the presentation by Jonathan D. Long, Lieutenant Coronel during the four days of the fair from noon to 1:00 pm. Long has participated in missions in Iraq and Afghanistan and spent 18 years with the US Department of Defense. The combatant will talk about the importance of camouflage uniforms in operations and how technology can contribute toward greater mobility and safety when going into action.
